Experience the breeding birds settling into the Columbia Plateau as a few migrant stragglers take leave. After a quick scan of the south end of Banks Lake, we’ll head west to the Douglas Creek and Badger Mountain Recreation Area to enjoy the riparian coulee country and dry pine forest of the plateau shrubsteppe. These habitats offer chukar, Swainson’s hawk, canyon wrens, yellow-breasted chat, lark and grasshopper sparrows, and much more.
Limit 11 participants
We’ll meet in Coulee City. Timing and logistics provided after registration
