Veazie Marsh

Veazie Marsh is north and slightly east of the town of Enumclaw in King County, Washington.

The marsh is on the west side of Veazie-Cumberland Road. The road is busy, so be sure to park and bird safely. It can be a noisy location, but the marsh can attract some good ducks and shorebirds.

To get to the marsh from either Seattle or Tacoma, take I-5 to State Route 18 (south of Federal Way). Take SR-18 east to Auburn, and exit at SR-164 East. Follow SR-164 E southeast a little over 8 miles to SE 416th Street, turn left. Take SE 416th East past State Route 69 to Veazie-Cumberland Rd SE (the equivalent of 284th Ave SE). Turn left and go about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile north on Veazie-Cumberland Rd SE. The marsh is on the left (west) side of the road.

From the east side of Lake Washington, take I-405 southwest to State Route 167. Head south on SR-167 to SR-18 and head east on SR-18 to SR-164 East. Follow SR-164 E southeast a little over 8 miles to SE 416th Street, turn left. Take SE 416th East past State Route 69 to Veazie-Cumberland Rd SE (the equivalent of 284th Ave SE). Turn left and go about 1/2 or 3/4 mile north on Veazie-Cumberland Rd SE. The marsh is on the left (west) side of the road.

A third route is to take the Maple Valley Highway (SR-169) southeast from Renton and exit at SE 416th Street north of Enumclaw, turn left onto SE 416th and go a short distance, turning left (north) onto Veazie Cumberland Rd SE (the equivalent of 284th Ave SE). Go about 1/2 or 3/4 mile north. The marsh is on the left (west) side of on Veazie-Cumberland Rd SE.
