Meals

With the exception of the Friday social’s appetizers and the Saturday banquet, please plan for all other meals or snacks*. Coffee/tea service will also be available in the mornings in the registration area.
No-host bars will be available both Friday and Saturday nights for the evening socials. Friday’s hors d’oeuvres and the coffee/tea service are included in your registration.
The plated banquet dinner is $45 per person, which includes gratuities. We hope you can join your fellow birders for delightful dinner! You will be able to buy additional meals for those accompanying you to the banquet, but who are not registering for the conference. Meal tickets with your meal choice will be included in your packet.

*The board decided against offering boxed lunches from the hotel due to the high cost. If you prefer to have a prepared box lunch at a cost of $22 each, please contact Cindy at president@wos.org to make arrangements.

Evening Events

The Friday and Saturday evening events will take place at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn at 1108 E Marina Way, Hood River, OR 97031 . A no-host bar will be available both nights. On Friday, there will be complimentary hors d’ouves, as well.

7:00 PM PRESENTATION – “STUMP THE EXPERTS:” BIRD QUIZ NIGHT – The Columbia Room
8:30 PM OWLING TRIPS DEPART – assigned carpooling area (Port of Hood River)

SATURDAY

5:30-6:00 PM Social Half Hour: no host Bar – The Columbia Room
6:00 PM BANQUET DINNER – The Columbia Room
7:00 PM PRESENTATION – LECTURE: By Wilson Cady – Columbia Room
Saturday Evening Banquet Meal

Dinner (choose one from 3 Entrees)

  • Salmon Entree – Fresh Columbia River Salmon with Tarragon Salsa Verde
  • Cannelloni (Vegetarian) – Cannelloni Noodles Stuffed with Mozzarella, bechamel, and parmesan cheese topped with Pomodoro Sauce
  • Braised Beef Short Ribs – Slow-roasted boneless beef in a demi-glace sauce
