Join us as we go birding on the Eastside at Marymoor Park! And yes, you read that right: we are offering dog friendly neighborhood outings!
Well behaved dogs welcome on leash while on trails and off leash as applicable during the off leash dog park section. Please leave dogs at home if they’re not friendly or just too excitable towards people, dogs or birds.
It’s Halloween, so let’s run the dogs and see some birds before all the evening shenanigans start! Costumes welcome if you are so inclined.
We will walk a large loop around the park, covering a diverse range of habitats including meadows, woods, marsh, the north end of Lake Sammamish, the Sammamish River, and community garden. Birders of all levels and ages are welcome. Note that about half this walk is in the off-leash dog area. We’ll spend about 2-1/2 to 3 hours in the field. Bring layers, rain gear, water and snacks. Done around 11am or so. Marymoor charges $1.25 for parking.
