The Samish and Skagit Flats can be excellent for raptors (hawks, eagles, falcons) in late fall and winter. We’ll explore looking for a variety of raptors, waterfowl, perhaps wintering shorebirds and passerines. January can bring any sort of weather, so come prepared, particularly waterproof footwear. Bring scopes, Discover Pass if you have one, and lunch. We’ll carpool to 3 cars (leader will ride in one of the vehicles but will not be driving).
