WOS Meetings are free and open to all. They are held the first Monday of each month, October through June, at the Center for Urban Horticulture on the University of Washington campus, 3501 NE 41st St. in Seattle. Doors open at 7:00 PM for socializing and the program begins at 7:30 PM.
Are you a WOS member who lives outside the Seattle area, or are you traveling? Live videoconferencing to our monthly meetings is a benefit to membership in WOS. You can attend these meetings remotely using GoToMeeting (GTM). At meeting time, using your computer, tablet or smartphone, simply follow the GTM link provided in the meeting announcement email (sent the week beforehand to WOS members).
It is necessary to download the GoToMeeting app once in order to join meetings. For those who may already have the GTM app installed, you will need that meeting’s Access Code (unique to each meeting), which is also included in the meeting announcement email.
You can also dial in using your phone (audio only: the experience will be far less satisfying).
United States: +1 (872) 240-3412
Note: Another way to attend the meeting is to visit the GoToMeeting website, click on “Join” in small print in the upper right corner of the page, then enter the neeting Access Code in the oval box and click on the Join button.
Using Go To Meeting as described above should be trouble free, but in case of problems, you may wish to consult the GoToMeeting User Help Guide. It is available either for Windows or for Mac. GoToMeeting does not provide a desktop app for users of the Linux operating system, but those users can join meetings by using a webapp through the browser. See more information on this method at this GoToMeeting web page.
