Limit 10, limit to 4 vehicles if possible.

Our meeting point will be in Colville, WA. The plan is to explore accessible roads in the Colville Valley, then east along State Route 20 through the Little Pend Oreille Lakes region into the Pend Oreille River Valley, south to Usk, WA and then west over Flowery Trail Pass, ending in Chewelah, WA and the upper Colville River Valley. Roughly 95-100 miles total by vehicle.

These will all be well-maintained state and county paved roads, but likely with at least some snow and ice on the roadways. All-wheel or front-wheel drive vehicles with all-season or winter traction tires highly recommended. Weather can be very cold, with snow. Appropriate warm, layered clothing and winter footwear is a must.
• We will try to carpool where folks are comfortable doing so. Please self-monitor your health (if you are having cold symptoms, please stay home) and if possible, carpool with the same group you traveled with to the field trip).

• NOTE: If forecasted weather conditions become dangerous, the trip will be canceled with as much advance notice as possible, at the discretion of the field trip leader. Lodging and restaurants are available in Colville, Chewelah, and Kettle Falls. Contact the trip leader, Dave Kreft, for details on these establishments
