WOS Conference
Committee

The
Board is looking for members who would like to be
involved with putting on the annual conference. The
over-all planning of the event includes research and
recommendations of possible sites, arranging for
facilities and service providers, managing
registration, and assisting the Treasurer with
detailed accounts of all expenses and revenues. This
committee will be overseen by the Board, to which it
reports. A fair understanding of the birds of
Washington and their distribution is helpful, but
not required. Contact

Staff the WOS Table at Birding
Festivals

This is an
enjoyable service that only requires a few hours and puts you
right into fun and educational bird activities across the state.
A love of birds and of WOS, plus a willingness to answer questions
or find a resource for people’s questions over
two-four hour time slots are all that is required. Partners
can ‘spell’ each other and we can take several teams per day at
the
Othello Sandhill Crane Festival and other birding festivals and
fairs across the state (Grays Harbor,
Leavenworth,
etc). It can be surprising who you will meet and what great local
birding you find out about while working the WOS booth.
Please contact
Gene Hunn.
