The 2024 Annual Conference of the Washington Ornithological Society will be held April 25-28, 2024, in Long Beach, Washington. This area was chosen for its diverse array of habitats and access to many areas not often explored by much of our membership. The blending of ocean, shorelines, rivers and forest offer incredible opportunities to view spring migrating birds.
Our headquarters for the conference will be the Chautauqua Resort and Conference Center, located at 304 14th St. NW, Long Beach, WA. It is located on the beach and offers ocean views and miles of sandy beach within easy walking distance.
The Chautauqua provides plenty of parking, which will be used for organizing our morning field trips. Our Friday and Saturday evening programs and meals will be held in the Chautauqua’s meeting room. Conference registration and check-in will occur on Thursday evening and Friday and Saturday mornings at the Chatauqua.
